DYNAMIQUE DE L’OCCUPATION DU SOL DANS LES BAS-FONDS DE LA VILLE DE GRAND-BASSAM

En Côte d'Ivoire, la problématique de l'occupation de l'espace se fait de plus en plus pressante. Cela d'autant plus que la population se rapproche davantage des grands centres urbains compte tenu des besoins exprimés. Grand-Bassam n'est pas en marge de cette réalité. Sa situation stratégique sur la côte, aux environs immédiats d’Abidjan, attire un grand nombre de personnes, d'où le besoin de logements. La forte demande exprimée en termes d'espace pour y répondre au fil des années a provoquée l’aménagement des espaces de bas-fonds qui, jadis, auraient été classés non aedificandi.
Abstract
In Cote d’Ivoire, the set of problems of space occupation is more and more urgent. Because the population is moving nearer and nearer the big city centers for their needs. Grand-Bassam is concerned by this reality. Its strategic location on the coast in the vicinity of Abidjan is attracting a great number of people, hence the need of houses. The big demand in space to solve the problem with the passing years, has brought about the arrangement of the seedy districts which were considered as non aédificandi in the past.
