Frontière ivoiro-ghanéenne et son impact sur la ville de Bondoukou
Résumé
La frontière ivoiro-ghanéenne reste un vecteur de dynamisme économique local depuis la période précoloniale jusqu’aujourd’hui. Les échanges et commerces frontaliers ont lieu entre Bondoukou et Ghana. Les populations ivoiriennes et ghanéennes continuent d’entretenir des échanges commerciaux ; nombre de ménages résidant à Bondoukou s’approvisionnent ainsi directement au Ghana en divers biens manufacturés. De plus, la zone frontalière est aussi un espace de transit pour divers produits provenant du Sud de la Côte d’Ivoire et partant vers le Ghana ; inversement, des biens d’importation ou fabriqués au Ghana, et destinés au marché abidjanais, traversent le département de Bondoukou. La fréquentation régulière des marchés frontaliers a permis la constitution d’un important réseau marchand actuellement contrôlé par divers opérateurs économiques (les monnayeurs, les transitaires et la clientèle). De même, la frontière a des impacts positifs du point de vue démographique, socio-culturel, économique et politique sur la ville. Mais, du point de vue sanitaire et éducatif, cet impact n’est pas perceptible.
Abstract
The frontier between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana remains a vector of dynamism for the local economy from the pre-colonial period to now. Exchanges trading along the border take place between Bondoukou and Ghana. The Ivorian populations and those of Ghana continue to share commercial relationships; many people living in Bondoukou get directly from Ghana many of their manufactured goods. Moreover, the border zone is also a place of exchange of many products coming from southern Côte d’Ivoire to Ghana; reciprocally, imported products or made in Ghana, and destined of the market of Abidjan, come through the Department of Bondoukou. The regular acces as people to the border markets favours the constitution of an important network of trading presently controlled by numerous economic operators (money deaters, traders and customers). In the same way, the border has some positive effects on the town, from demographic, socio-cultural, economic and political points of view. But from the point of view of health and education, this effect is not perceptible.
