L'ACCES AUX SOINS DE SANTE EN MILIEU RURAL : CAS DU PAYS DE BOKO (REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO)
Résumé
L'accès aux soins de santé en milieu rural est problématique. L'enclavement des localités, la mauvaise répartition géographique des structures sanitaires et des ressources humaines, l'insuffisance des équipements biomédicaux, du matériel el des médicaments, la faiblesse des revenus et la croyance à la sorcellerie limitent largement l'accès aux soins de santé. Pour pallier certaines insuffisances du système de santé, les paysans ont recours à la médecine traditionnelle, à l'automédication. La forte proportion de l'automédication est un indice de la précarité sanitaire dans laquelle vivent les ruraux. Les dépenses de santé sont à un niveau modeste. Elles augmentent avec l'accessibilité des structures sanitaires et la qualité des prestations. Dans l'ensemble, les populations ont recours à la fois aux soins modernes et aux soins traditionnels qui, loin d'être concurrents se complètent.
Abstract
Health care access in rural areas is problematic. The localities enclosure, the bad geographical distribution of médical structures and human resources, the insufficiency of biomédical equipments, of material and drugs, the weakness of the populations incomes and the sorcery believing largely limit the access to health care. To compensate insufficiencies of the health System, the rural inhabitants have recourse to traditional medicine, self médication. The high proportion of sell médication is one indicator of médical precariousness of the rural population. The health care expenditure is at a low level and increases with the accessibility to the médical structures and quality of the médical services. Generally, the populations have recourse, at the same time, to the modem health care practices and the traditional practices which, far from being in compétition, are complementary.
